CrowdStrike vs SentinelOne: endpoint packages, rollback, offline, and response

Compare Falcon Enterprise against Singularity Complete before you compare MDR. CrowdStrike when the hire is IOA-led Falcon endpoint response with optional Falcon Complete. SentinelOne when the hire is on-agent prevention with Windows 1-click rollback, remediation on Windows and macOS, and offline Behavioral AI.

Start with equivalent endpoint packages, not with MDR. CrowdStrike publishes Falcon Enterprise at 184.99 USD per device per year on its public pricing page. SentinelOne publishes Singularity Complete at 179.99 USD per endpoint per year for 5 to 100 workstations, with partner pricing controlling the final invoice. Falcon Complete Next-Gen MDR and SentinelOne managed hunting / MDR paths are separate buying decisions after those self-managed floors.

Those list numbers land within a few dollars at the self-managed XDR tier. The wrong assumption is that CrowdStrike vs SentinelOne is therefore a brand bake-off for “best AI EDR,” or that MDR packaging is the first row. Between these two, compare OS-specific rollback and remediation, offline agent behavior, response controls, and how each deploys the endpoint agent. Then separate cloud-workload entitlements from the endpoint line, and only then compare managed response.

CrowdStrike’s recent first-party MDR signal is Falcon Complete Hub inside Falcon Complete Next-Gen MDR, published 11 September 2025, with later Agentic MDR messaging in March 2026 press. SentinelOne’s recent Complete signal is Purple AI core capabilities included with Singularity Complete and the Purple AI Athena agentic workflows, announced around RSA 2025, with Auto Investigation called generally available in March 2026 press.

Editions and pricing

Compare Falcon Enterprise to Singularity Complete first. CrowdStrike sells self-managed Falcon Go, Pro, and Enterprise with public per-device rates, then Falcon Complete Next-Gen MDR as a managed overlay that is not list-priced on the same card. Falcon Cloud Security and Identity Protection are adjacent SKUs, not the Enterprise endpoint line.

SentinelOne publishes Singularity Complete and Commercial list rates for 5 to 100 workstations through authorized partners. Platform packages list Cloud Workload Protection on Complete; Identity Detection and Response starts on Commercial. Managed Threat Hunting and MDR appear as package or add-on paths, not as Complete’s 179.99 USD endpoint rate.

Main buying considerationWill you shortlist Falcon Enterprise against Singularity Complete before you open an MDR quote? Will you shortlist Singularity Complete against Falcon Enterprise before you open Commercial / Enterprise or MDR paths?

If procurement needs a published self-managed XDR floor this week, Falcon Enterprise and Singularity Complete are the comparable public anchors. Do not treat Complete’s 179.99 USD as an MDR rate, and do not treat Falcon Cloud Security as included in Falcon Enterprise.

How investigations start

Cloud workload entitlementFalcon Cloud Security is a separate quote path from Falcon Go / Pro / Enterprise endpoint bundles on CrowdStrike pricing materialsPlatform packages list Cloud Workload Protection Platform on Singularity Complete (and higher). That is an entitlement on the Complete package card, not the same object as SentinelOne MDR
Main buying considerationDo you want IOA-led Falcon detections on Enterprise as the investigation start before you buy Complete MDR?Do you want on-agent Behavioral AI and Storyline context on Complete as the investigation start before you buy Commercial or MDR?

Both stop malware-free and ransomware-class host activity. Between these two, Falcon leans on IOA patterns and cloud-trained detection shared to the sensor, while Singularity leans on autonomous on-device models plus Storyline correlation before an analyst opens a ticket.

Rollback, offline, response, and deploy

CrowdStrike CrowdStrikeSentinelOne SentinelOne
OS-specific rollback / remediationFalcon response, containment, and Real Time Response across Windows, macOS, and Linux. The Windows VSS-style Linux rollback was not found in CrowdStrike’s published pricing or Falcon Enterprise documentation.1-click remediation documented for Windows and macOS; patented 1-click rollback documented for Windows (VSS-backed restore without re-imaging). Linux rollback matching that Windows VSS path was not found on the FAQ and Complete pages opened; remediation and prevention still apply on Linux
Offline behaviorFalcon sensor continues endpoint protection with cloud-backed IOA updates when online. Real Time Response commands to offline hosts can queue and run when the host reconnects (developer samples cite a multi-day queue expiry). Hands-on offline CPU and detection rates were not measured hereBehavioral AI runs locally on the agent, so detection, prevention, and remediation are documented to continue without cloud connectivity, including air-gapped notes on on-premises materials
Response controlsNetwork containment, process and file response via Falcon console / Real Time Response, plus policy controls on the sensor. Complete MDR adds 24/7 CrowdStrike-operated response when purchasedAutonomous kill and quarantine, policy-driven automation, network isolation, remote shell, and remediation / Windows rollback actions operators can fire from the console
DeploymentCloud-managed Falcon sensor on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Adjacent modules (Identity, Next-Gen SIEM, Falcon Cloud Security) install as separate entitlementsUnified agent with SaaS, on-premises, hybrid, and air-gapped deploy paths documented on endpoint materials; controlled update rollout called out on platform pages
Managed path (after endpoint package)Falcon Complete Next-Gen MDR is the named CrowdStrike-operated path, with Falcon Complete Hub for prioritized actions. Quote-required; not Falcon Enterprise’s 184.99 USD lineManaged Threat Hunting on Commercial+; MDR listed as included or add-on by tier on package tables. Not Complete’s published 179.99 USD endpoint rate
Main buying considerationWill Falcon Enterprise host response and RTR cover the OS mix you staff before you buy Complete MDR?Will Windows rollback plus Windows/macOS remediation and offline on-agent response cover the OS mix you staff before you buy Commercial or MDR?

Score OS-specific rollback, offline behavior, and response controls on Falcon Enterprise versus Singularity Complete first. If the open work is surgical Windows rollback your own team can fire, Singularity Complete documents that path. If the open work is Falcon console / RTR response your own team staffs, Falcon Enterprise is the public floor. MDR is a later row on both sides.

Where they overlap

Both sell commercial endpoint protection and XDR-class detection and response with a single primary agent and optional managed services. Cloud workload entitlements are not identical: Falcon Cloud Security sits beside Falcon endpoint bundles, while Singularity Complete lists Cloud Workload Protection on the package card. An RFP that only says “best EDR” or jumps straight to MDR will get adjacent demos. The remaining split is Falcon Enterprise IOA-led response and RTR versus Singularity Complete autonomy with Storyline, Windows rollback, and offline on-agent prevention, with MDR compared only after those endpoint packages.

Broader XDR shortlists sit on XDR tools.

When to use both

Running Falcon and Singularity as two full endpoint agents on the same fleet is usually waste and agent conflict risk. The narrow split that sometimes appears is one business unit on Falcon Enterprise (or Complete) while another already standardized on Singularity Complete for autonomous endpoint response. If one SOC owns both queues, pick the endpoint response model you staff first, then decide whether either MDR path is required.

Choose CrowdStrike Falcon Enterprise when IOA-led host response and Real Time Response on Windows, macOS, and Linux are the package you will staff, and add Falcon Complete MDR only when you hire CrowdStrike analysts. Choose SentinelOne Singularity Complete when on-agent prevention, Windows rollback, Windows/macOS remediation, and offline Behavioral AI are the package you will staff, and step to Commercial, Enterprise, or MDR only when identity, retention, or managed response are required. Keep Falcon Cloud Security and Singularity cloud-workload entitlements on their own lines.

FAQs

Is Falcon Complete the same as Falcon Enterprise?

No. Falcon Enterprise is the highest publicly priced self-managed Falcon bundle on CrowdStrike’s pricing page ($184.99 per device per year as of 3 Oct 2026) and includes endpoint detection and response plus threat intelligence and hunting packaging. Falcon Complete Next-Gen MDR is the managed service path (contact sales) with CrowdStrike analysts operating on the Falcon platform.

Does Singularity Complete include identity threat detection?

Not on the Complete list line. SentinelOne’s platform packages place Identity Detection and Response on Singularity Commercial and above. Complete centers AI-driven endpoint and cloud workload protection with 14-day retention and an AI security assistant.

Do both publish list prices for MDR?

CrowdStrike does not publish a Falcon Complete MDR list price on the main pricing page. SentinelOne publishes Complete and Commercial endpoint list rates but treats managed hunting and MDR as higher-package or add-on paths. Compare live partner or sales quotes for any managed tier.

Is this a hands-on bake-off?

No. The comparison uses first-party docs, public pricing, and community cross-check only. We did not install either sensor in a paid lab tenant.

Which mid-stage package should a lean SOC shortlist first?

Shortlist Falcon Enterprise against Singularity Complete for equivalent self-managed endpoint packages first. Compare OS-specific rollback, offline behavior, and response controls on that pair, then add Falcon Complete or SentinelOne Commercial / Enterprise / MDR only when managed analysts, identity, or longer retention are explicit requirements on the quote.
